Originally from County Donegal in the Republic of Ireland, Pauric left his architecture undergraduate studies and created his first studio and gallery, in the east end of London, named ROOT in 1998.
His first works were furniture design and jewelry before launching Pauric Sweeney Bags in 2004. The success was instantaneous as leading department stores and boutiques carried his lines. In the summer of 2005 Sweeny moved his unit to Florence Italy in order to work more closely with prestigious Italian tanneries and traditional Master craftsmen.
Pauric’s bags can be found on the arm or over the shoulder of many celebrity clients such as Madonna, Agyness Deyn, Lindsay Lohan, Coutney Love and and Sienna Miller to name but a few.

The collections can be found in the most desirable of retailers such as Bergdorf Goodman, Browns, Barneys Tokyo and Luisa Via Roma. In all, over 180 internationally and starting from 800 Euros to 25,000 Euros.
The Pauric Sweeny Autumn/Winter 2009 ‘Fade To Gray’ accessories collection continues to strive toward an unconventional beauty in this most challenging of environments. Bright and iridescent finishes, including slate grey, taupe, metallic greens, black midnight, grey rust Terra de Siena with accents of purple and aquamarine. The AW09 collection continues an exploration of form and materials, striving towards an understated sophistication and edgy modern glamour.
